Please read these terms carefully before using B-PlanDIY. By accessing or using our tool, you agree to be bound by these terms.
B-PlanDIY is an online tool that helps small business owners and startups create a business plan and 12-month cashflow forecast. We are based in New Zealand and our contact email is support@b-plandiy.com.
Access to B-PlanDIY requires a one-time payment of NZD $29, which gives you full access to the tool for 90 days (about three months) from the date of payment.
B-PlanDIY is a self-service tool designed to help you produce a business plan and cashflow forecast based on the information you provide. It also uses AI to generate suggestions and content to assist you.
B-PlanDIY is not a substitute for professional business, financial, legal or accounting advice. The output produced by the tool is a starting point — we strongly recommend reviewing it with a qualified advisor before using it for major business decisions, applying for finance, or presenting to investors.

B-PlanDIY uses AI to help generate suggestions and write parts of your business plan. While we aim for the AI to produce helpful and relevant content, AI-generated content may not always be accurate, complete or suitable for your specific situation. You should always review AI-generated content carefully and edit it to reflect your business accurately.
The information you enter into the B-PlanDIY app is stored on your own device, in your browser's local storage. We do not keep a copy of it in any database of ours, and we cannot browse or retrieve it.
There is one important exception. When you use the Generate Business Plan button, an AI Suggest button, or Tidy this up, the information needed for that request is sent from your browser, via our server, to our AI provider (Anthropic) so that the content can be written. Depending on the feature used, this can include your business description, market and competitor notes, vision, values, goals, financial figures and any contact details you have entered. This transmission is encrypted, and our AI provider does not use it to train their models. If you would prefer this information were not sent to an AI provider, do not use those features — the rest of the app, including the cashflow forecast, works without them.
Voice input. Some fields have a Speak button. If you use it, your browser converts your speech to text using a service provided by Google (in Chrome and Edge) or Apple (in Safari). We never receive or store the audio, only the text that appears in the field. The button is entirely optional.
When you purchase access we also collect your name, email address, phone number and payment and expiry dates, which are held in our customer database so we can confirm and restore your access and send renewal reminders. Our Privacy Policy sets out in full what we collect, which third parties we send it to, and the analytics and advertising cookies used on our website.
Storing your information locally means we hold no copy of it and cannot recover it for you. Your information may be permanently lost if you clear your browsing data or cookies, use a browser set to clear site data on exit, use private or incognito browsing, uninstall or reset your browser, or change to a different browser, device or user profile. Your information is not synchronised between devices.
The app provides an Export data function which saves a backup file to your device, and an Import data function to restore it. Keeping current backups is your responsibility. We are not able to retrieve, restore or reconstruct any information that is lost, and we are not liable for any such loss.
As part of your B-PlanDIY access, you may be invited to join our private WhatsApp community and attend free online business planning seminars. Participation in these is entirely voluntary.
The B-PlanDIY tool, its design, code and content are owned by us and protected by copyright. You may not copy, reproduce or distribute any part of the tool without our permission.
The business plan and cashflow forecast you produce using the tool is yours. You own the output.
To the extent permitted by New Zealand law, B-PlanDIY is not liable for:
Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or the Fair Trading Act 1986.
We may update or change the features of B-PlanDIY from time to time. We will not make changes that significantly reduce the service without reasonable notice.
We may update these terms from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of B-PlanDIY after changes are posted means you accept the updated terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand. Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the New Zealand courts.
